181 ART I .5 CREDIT

ART I covers the principles and elements of design. Experiments with pencil, colored pencil, ink, chalk, charcoal, paint (acrylic and watercolor), along with linoleum printing and hand built clay pieces. Art appreciation will be integrated into lessons using prints, books, slides and videos. This is a semester course.

281 ART II .5 CREDIT

ART II consists of continued studies of fundamentals of drawing using pencil, pen and ink and coloring blending. Painting will include basics of watercolor and acrylic paint. Hand built pottery and printmaking will be expanded upon. Art appreciation will be integrated into lessons through slides, prints, books and videos. This is a semester course and Art I is a prerequisite.

381 ART III .5 CREDIT

ART III will further develop drawing skills using various media. Painting (watercolor and acrylic) themes will be expanded. Introduction to silk screening and wheel thrown clay pottery, as well as sculpture (carving and building). Art appreciation will be integrated into lessons through slides, prints, books and videos. This is a semester course and Art II is a prerequisite.

481 ART IV .5 CREDIT

ART IV involves the in-depth study of' drawing and painting, ceramics, printmaking and three-dimensional sculpture. Art appreciation will be integrated into lessons through slides, books, prints and videos. This is a semester course and Art III is a prerequisite.
